Extension of Business Activity

The end of 1990’s that was difficult for the entire industry was followed by a period of stabilisation and strengthening of the company’s position in the European transport market as well as dynamic growth of the fleet and investments. DIREX changed its legal form and began a long term process of implementing of growth strategy based on proven customers – we already have a well recognised brand name, which is obliging, but also allows for working wit the best. For us the beginning of the new century was characterised by dynamic growth of demand for transport on the part of customers who themselves reported the need for extension of the level and scale of services provided for them as well as growth of the so called “white fleet”. In response to the demand the company extended its operations – we increased the number of transcontinental connections with Asia, including regular transports to far Kazakhstan and participation in the breakthrough convoy from Beijing to Brussels. On the other hand in Europe the network of our regular connections covered nearly all possible destinations and nearly all European countries. This marked the beginning of advanced investments in the company, including organisational as well as technological ones, thanks to which we always remain amongst the top innovative companies that apply state of the art solutions.
